The USS Defiant (NCC-1764) was a 23rd century Federation Constitution-class starship operated by Starfleet. It was one of three known Federation starships to bear the name Defiant. Built at Tranquility Base, Luna, the Defiant was named in honor of the British warship HMS Defiant. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly" set decoration).
