The 157th FS “Swamp Fox" / 169th FW, South Carolina ANG started to receive the F-16 Fighting Falcon in July 1983. In 1995 became the first ANG unit to receive the F-16 Block 52 directly from the manufacturer instead of second-hand from regular force units. This change made them into a multi-role unit and with the arrival of the HARM Targeting System the 157th FS became a Wild Weasel Squadron. 2015 was the 50th Anniversary of the 157th FS and was marked by a special paint scheme on F-16 92-3911.
