The Intrepid was an United Earth Intrepid-type starship that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-22nd century. The ship's motto was "In Mare In Cælo" ("Into the Sea In the Sky"). The Intrepid was constructed and placed into service by the year 2153 when it would be under the command of Captain Ramirez. (Enterprise: "The Expanse"). In 2153, the Intrepid, along with two other starships, aided the returning Enterprise on its way back to Earth while it was under attack by a Klingon Bird-of-Prey. (Enterprise: "The Expanse")
