The Tuskegee Airmen of 332nd FG, or "Red Tails" as they were also known, were the first African-American military aviators in the United States armed forces. Replicating "Duchess Arlene," the P-51D Mustang flown by Lt. Robert Williams – who flew 50 combat missions from Italy during World War II and later wrote the original manuscript for the award-winning 1995 film, The Tuskegee Airmen – of the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group in 1944-45.
