The Indonesian Air Force (Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara – TNI-AU) purchased several Su-27 family aircraft from Russia, Su-27SK, Su-27SKM, Su-30Mk and Su-30MK2. Between 2003 and 2013 sixteen Flankers were received by Skadron Udara11 (11 Squadron) at the Iswahyudi AB. Of the sixteen aircraft two were Su-27SKs with serials TS-2701 with code 01 and TS-02 with code 02. The Su-27SKs were modified from dedicated air-superiority fighters to multi-role fighter and attack aircraft. Part of the payment for these aircraft was completed using Indonesian palm oil.
